New multiplayer game modes will require better coordination in order to win. The game also features voice support, so you can communicate with other players around the world -- whether you're on the same team or trash talking! Summary: When I got this game I was expecting a childrens game with bad garphics, simple controls and lots of bugs so when I started to play this I was surprised to be playing a good game with enjoyable levels and good gameplay, it was great it was one of the best "movie-to-game" game that I have played! Then the bad news when I got to base the levels just turned to rubbish in one you played as mr incredible and you had to fight tanks that was fine but you had to fight 5 before you could move on and if you died you had to start on tank one. There became many bugs where you would get stuck, graphics got worse and levels became repetitive. It is a shame that the makers have done that my only geuss is that they run out of time and had to put the levels in a panic? Who knows but one thing I hope is that the sequel(of the game) that is coming out at the end of this year is put together with the same quality of the first 3/4 of this game. I would give the first 3/4 of this game 10/10 but then the last bit 0/10! I would say rent it not buy it because the first bit is great!

Summary: Set in a modern day survival-horror universe, the co-operative gameplay of "Left 4 Dead" ("L4D") casts four "Survivors" in an epic struggle against hordes of swarming zombies and terrifying "Boss Infected" mutants. Developed by Turtle Rock Studios and Valve, creators of the "Counter-Strike" and "Half-Life" games, the latest AI technology allows for multiplayer games of one to eight players.A new and highly virulent strain of the rabies virus emerges and spreads through the human population with frightening speed. The pandemic's victims become grotesquely disfigured widely violent psychopaths, attacking the uninfected on sight. As one of the "lucky" few apparently immune to the sickness, you, unfortunately, are also trapped in a city crawling with thousands of the bloodthirsty Infected. Alone, you're dead. But together with a handful of fellow survivors, you might just fight your way to safety.Players can play as a Survivor or as one of four types of Boss Infected, each of whom possess a unique mutant ability, such as a 50-foot tongue lasso or a giant belly full of explosive methane gas. The gameplay of "L4D" is set across four massive campaigns. The zombie population of each mission is choreographed by an AI Director that monitors the human players' actions and creates a unique and dramatic experience for them on the fly.

Summary: Let's get this out of the way: if you loved the films Predator, Predator II, and Alien verses Predator, and revelled in the carnage you caused in the computer games Aliens Versus Predator and Aliens Versus Predator II when you played as a predator, then just go buy this game because I doubt you'll be dissapointed with it.
The plot is highly contrived, but then I've read many of the predator and aliens versus predator books, and they're not exactly very plausable either, so in that respect, the fairly silly plotline can be dismissed. In fact, the game has managed to capture the flavour and style of the books.
The plot is essentially thus: in 1930, the predator you play (Scarface from here on) somehow managed to botch a hunt spectacularly, and not only fails to kill himself after dishonouring himself, but left his equipment behind in human hands-essentially breaking the most important parts of the predator's hunting code. Taking a dim view of this, Scarface's fellow clan members exile him to a planet with nothing but his glaive (more on weapons below).
Fast forward 100 years, and humans have reverse engineered your hunting gear, and are using the tech derived from it to kill/capture Predator hunting parties.
The Predators are *really* not happy about this.
So Scarface is recalled from exile and sent to earth to sort his mess out, and in the process restore his lost honour.
---------------------
The missions themselves are well structed. The first few missions are straightforward enough-they're fights where the enemy aren't especially smart, well armed or well equipped so you can get used to the controls of the predator without having to worry about getting your extra-terrestial butt handed to you. Gamespy/IGN complained that the camera was too squirrily, but I found it to be perfectly fine. I had to edit the options (I inversed the horizontal rotation) but it was perfectly fine.
The AI is... well. Suffice to say, if you're expecting Half-life or Farcry standards of AI, then you're going to be dissapointed. It's not so much 'Can I outsmart these guys' it's more 'Can I cut a bloody swath through their ranks without getting mown down?' And on medium and hard, you will have to think that too. The game is actually best on hard I feel.
Difficulty scaleing is well done. Easy truely is, allowing you to shrug off pretty much any attack from any enemy in the game; you essentially can only die if you actively go out and try to.
On hard, you actually have to act like a predator should, employing stealth and discretion when picking off enemies, especially in groups; a direct assault-especially on many bosses-is pretty much suicide.
Scarface is done in impressive detail. He's built like a tank, even by predator standards, and his armour is rough, battered and blood stained. Simply put, your predator radiates pure bad-ass. His skin is done in great detail, and the sounds are perfect.
The volume of controls can be a bit daunting, but once I started playing I found they were actually rather simple. Movement is standard fair and if you've played any 3d platformer, such as Vexx or (Super) Mario 64 then you'll be fine with that.
Combat is also straightforward enough. You have three attack buttons. Ranged, Heavy Melee and Light Melee, and you can assign what the ranged and heavy weapons are (equip it, basically).
The Light Melee is the wristblades. However, you can retract the wristblades (handy for when you need to grab people, which you need to do occasionally). It's also incredably satisfying, walking up to someone, decloaking, and extending the wristblades with that trademark 'SHRING!'sound, and then taking their skull as a trophy.
You auto-target opponents, and there's a lock on feature, a la Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
You can go into first person mode also (the game being in third person) which is handy-it lets you zoom in (handy for sniping with the speargun) and coupled with the vision modes lets you scan for weaknesses in opponents-some are resistant to energy attacks, or blunt damage for example.
There are also fun extras, in the form of costumes and upgrades in the game. The costumes are not just new outfits for Scarface. They're completely different models of predators. These are unlocked by doing bonus missions, and if you do certain ones, you can play as the predator from the film Predator, the predator from Predator II and even one of the predators from the Alien Versus Predator film, just to name the 'official' ones-there are at least three other alternate costumes. Scattered throughout the game are hidden upgrades for your weapons or in the case of some of the ranged weapons, like the speargun, ammo. For example, one upgrade for the shoulder cannon increases it's blast radius.
I found the enviroments well done. There wasn't anything that made me stop and go 'Wow!' but then again there weren't any that made me stop and go 'Urgh!'. The textures and models for the NPC (Non Player Characters) are okay-they're not that good, but they get the job done and half the time you're not really looking anyway.
I could talk about the game for alot long, but I don't want to reveal everything. Suffice to say that all in all, I found predator to be a good fun game. It's no Half-life II, but if you want a game that encourages a little bit of thinking with your mindless carnage then you should like this. Or if you're just a Predator fanboy.

The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between "Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith" and "Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope". Paired with the powerful Havok Physics™ system, these new technologies create gameplay only possible on the new generation of consoles. DMM incorporates the physical properties of anything in the environment so that everything reacts exactly like it should - wood breaks like wood, glass shatters like glass, plants on the planet Felucia bend like plants on the planet Felucia would, and more. Meanwhile, as a revolutionary behavioural-simulation engine, euphoria enables interactive characters to move, act and even think like actual human beings, adapting their behaviour on the fly and resulting in a different payoff every single time.
Game Features:During the period between Episodes III and IV, players hunt Jedi in the role of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice.Unleash and upgrade the Secret Apprentice's four core Force powers - Force push, grip, repulse and lightning - throughout the course of the game, and combine them for ultra-destructive, never-before-seen combos.Examples of unleashing the Force in ways never thought possible:The Secret Apprentice won't just Force push enemies into walls - he'll Force push enemies through walls. The Secret Apprentice won't just Force grip foes to throw them aside - he'll Force grip them in midair, zap them with lightning, then drop them to the ground to explode like a bomb.In addition to new adversaries created just for the game, such as fugitive Jedi and Force-sensitive Felucians, players will also confront and associate with familiar faces from the Star Wars films, including Darth Vader.Visit locations such as Episode III's Wookiee homeworld Kashyyyk and the floral Felucia, the junk planet Raxus Prime, plus an Imperial TIE fighter construction facility."The Force Unleashed" is LucasArts' first internally developed title for next-generation consoles, and it represents the first in-game collaboration of talents and technology between LucasArts and Industrial Light & Magic, two companies now finally under one roof at the new Letterman Digital Arts Center in San Francisco's Presidio district."The Force Unleashed" debuts Digital Molecular Matter from Pixelux and euphoria behavioral simulation from NaturalMotion Ltd. LucasArts is preparing an unprecedented promotional effort around the launch of "The Force Unleashed", encompassing a full line of toys and game-based action figures from Hasbro, as well as a full publishing program from Dark Horse, Del Rey and Palace Press. Meet the Cast The Star Wars Saga will continue in 2008 with LucasArts' biggest-ever video game event. Set during the "dark times" between Episodes III and IV, "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" portrays the previously untold story of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice -- and now you can put a face to that mysterious character as well as the major supporting cast members as LucasArts unveils the actors set to star in The Force Unleashed. Summary: What a game! The main aim of the game is to prevent disaster and the spreading of a shape-shifting alien that hunts down humans. All the alien can think of is to kill and spread such a Virus. Throughout the game you are faced with aliens of all descriptions. The screams and their movements are realistic and exciting. As soon as they see you they charge towards you in effort to destroy you, until you pull out your flamethrower. Place a fire upon the ground and the aliens will avoid the fire and find an alternative route to get you. Set them on fire and you'll see them scattering around trying to Extinguish the flames. It is not just aliens you are faced with, but humans. A certain organisation wants to prevent you on your quest for justice but unfortunately their AI is not up to scratch. Throw a grenade and they will not respond. Sometimes they will walk right up to you in a zombie fashion without responding as though they are waiting to be shot. BUT when they attack they attack with fury reducing half your health in seconds. Apart from that the action leaves you at the edge of your seat. The AI of your allies is superb. The way they respond and react to enemy attacks are life like and the way certain members of your team panic at the sight of blood and cut up bodies really add to life like circumstances. Strategic thinking is required to gain confidence from your fellow allies. Give them weapons and ammo, cure them after battle, and help them out, increases their trust in you. But watch your back. Throughout the game certain members of your teammates may become infected and turn into The Thing. The boss attacks are fun, but fairly easy. If you are good enough, you may kill a boss first time round. I killed the final boss on the second try. They are well designed and imaginative. Saves are placed in well-organised locations and are generous enough, not leaving you in a heart-breaking situation if you are killed. GRAPHICS: 8/10 Wonderful graphics. Animation is spot on. SOUNDS: 9/10 Creepy music. Life like sounds from the aliens and surroundings. GAMEPLAY: 8/10 Wonderful game. Each scene will encourage you to see the next. But one problem, IT IS TOO SHORT. The Good Points: · Excellent graphics. · Excellent sounds from aliens, humans and surroundings. · Wonderful story line. · Very good cut scenes. · Excellent new interface with your allies. · Trust from your ally's works perfectly well. · Creative bosses. The Bad Points: · The game is too short. · Enemy human AI is rubbish. · Ending is total rubbish. FINAL RESULT: 8/10
